I want to stop being a vegetarian...?!
i've been one my whole life because that's how my mom wanted to raise me!. my dad eats meat but he let my mom make the decision to raise me a vegetarian!. i'm 14 & i've never had meat, fish etc except for chicken noodle soup which i only just started eating recently!.
i want to stop being a vegetarian & be able to eat the normal foods that all my friends eat, but whenever i'm about to try one of their meals or something, i get grossed out & i can't do it!.
any tips!? i would really appreciate your help :)

I have heard that when converting to "meat eater", you need to take if slowly or else it can make you very sick!. (I guess the surge in protein)!. Definitely take baby steps in that respect!.
I sort of know what you mean!. I eat meat, to an extent!. My brother deer hunts, but I just cannot eat venison!. I guess the first time my sis thought it was funny to call them 'bambi burgers'!. I nearly gagged! I just pictured those beautiful deer!. Then, I got tricked a few years later into beef stew made with venison and thought it was delicious!.!.!. then got sick when everyone revealed what I had just finished eating!.
BOTTOM LINE IS that you cannot picture the face of what you are eating, or no one would eat meat!Www@FoodAQ@Com

ok it is not like you can be born a vegatarian and it is something to overcome!. if you are getting grossed out it is probably because you have heard the horror stories of how they treat animals!. but have you heard about how many chemicals and crap are also on and in your veggies!. you just need to make wise choices for YOURSELF - never let anyone make into something - even a parent - you should respect all people and if you are in someone's space - on their terms but always try new things!. how do you know if YOU like or don't like something if you don't research and try and explore -- so --- do this find meat from a farm that is raised in open grazing and not with chemically treated feed!. go organic veggies as much as possible!. then you will not be so grossed out if you know where the items are coming from and how they are produced humanely and for the purpose they where intended!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
there is no such thing as 'normal' foods and if you're eating chicken noodle soup you're not eating vegetarian anyway!. That's like saying 'I only eat big macs but I'm still a vegetarian because I wouldn't eat a steak'!. It doesn't matter what it is, it's still meat!.
If you're 14 you're old enough to eat what you want, and if that's meat then eat it!. Maybe try a 'meat meal' somewhere that won't cost loads so if you don't like it there's little lost!. Do educate yourself about meat production/veg production first though so you can make an informed decision, and don't let anyone else in your circle make the decision for you- it's up to you!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

When I moved away to live with my first boyfriend he used to like to eat out a lot- I used to watch him with Indians then I decided I wanted to try to eat meat!.
I was a bit cautious at first-then I had a sheek kebab!. devine!
I didn't tell everybody at first but gradually I ate more and more!.

So maybe try eating something light two days out of the week with your friends like fish or chicken!.
But I would not completely quit your vegetarian status!. It has a lot of health benifits and you will probably have a healthier life than most of your friends!.
Stay away from pork, shellfish and too much beef!.

Don't change 'cause ya friends are meat eaters!. If meat grosses you out then don't eat it!. Do you like vegetarian food!? My brother's a vege 'cause it's cruel to animals!. A good friend of mine is a vege 'cause she just doesn't like meat!. They don't give in to peer pressure!. You shouldn't either!. I know it's difficult!. Maybe try a fake meat restaurant first!. Eating chicken noodle soup makes you no longer a vegetarian!. Just remind yourself of this!. also, go get a burger from Sonic (they have the best burgers ever!) when you are not with your friends!. Just close your eyes and take a big bite!. Don't look at it until you take the first bite!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Why dont you try Fish first, rather than meat!. Anyway, meat is not worth eating as it is rubbish!. In todays Market I often wonder where they get it from as it is just awful!. I often wonder what animal some of it comes from sometimes, and more times than not I throw it away!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
meet is good for the eyes muscles brain you need it because it will keep you living longer and it helps out allot of things in peoples body which because theres to many i cant say them all lol, but whats keeps you from stopping if its gross eat it then take a zip of water don't look at it to much make sure its grilled, try eating chicken breast its my fav make sure tis grilled tho,

Well, I would suggest you slowly start adding easy to digest, meats into your diet, while continuing to eat the vegertarian food you are used to!. Start small one step at a time and eventually you'll feel just fine eating meat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
after the chicken noodle soup, try some real chicken, maybe a chicken burger and then some roast chicken!. Chickens good because it doesn't have a really meaty flavour like beef!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
