What is your worst online grocery shopping experience and which supermarket was it with?!
I was very organised as I was moving house on Saturday so ordered a delivery from ASDA so we would have some basics in the cupboards!.
Not only did it turn up half an hour after the latest time in the slot (10!.30!) but over half of the stuff was missing and I'd been charged double for 3 things!.
I spent all of Sunday on the phone trying to sort it and it finally turned about at 2!.30 yesterday!

I don't shop on line but my son does!. His problem was also with asda!. He did his christmas food shop on line got a delivery slot for the 24th, but they never showed up!. They phoned to say they were so busy that they couldn't deliver that day but would deliver on the 27th december!. He had to rush out and do his shopping in store otherwise they wouldn't have had a christmas dinner!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I had a disaster with Tescos! Ordered it to come early evening and was still waiting at 11 p!.m!. Eventually, I gave up and went to bed to be woken up by the delivery driver banging on the front door at midnight with my shopping! When I told him that I wasn't going to open the door and start messing about with the shopping at that time of night he got really stroppy!. Apparently, he suffers from narcolepsy(!) and had fallen asleep in a layby!. Driving and narcolepsy!?!!!!
Had a lot of phone calls and complaints to make the next day!.
P!.S!. also had a bit of a bad experience (entirely my own doing though) when I became confused over quantities and ended up ordering one button mushroom (thought it was one box) and about 20 litres of orange juice (don't know how I did that!)!. I have also had all sorts of items that I haven't asked for - including 6 bottles of wine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Tesco, I ordered the food a previous day and it came very late at night, later than the time i had asked for, when the kids were in bed, and then I didn't have half the food I ordered and the food I did have was rubbish use-by dates! I would rather take the time to shop in the supermarket atleast i will get what i want!. :-)Www@FoodAQ@Com
Oh dear! I always shop online with ASDA and have never had any problems that I can remember! The worst they did was not deliver it one day, but it didn't bother me too much, and they put a £10 off my next delivery voucher on the account for me!.
Absolutely rubbish service to you though!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Many years ago at Tesco I bought a tin of strawberries & it had just one strawberry in a can of syrup!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I had the same problem with Tesco! It seems to be a job nobody wants to do as they're always advertising for staff!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Sainsbury's is my nightmare "supplier" because a lot of the time what I want they're out of stock of - and even when it's IN stock they struggle to get the price right!. Special offers I've ordered suddenly become NOT special offers by the time they're delivered, and if you order one of their three for two offers and they've only got two, they have the cheek to charge you full price for those two instead of charging you pro rata because it's THEIR fault they haven't got enough stock!. I'm currently having a go at them over an offer - four light bulbs for £1 when the normal price is £2!.09 EACH - so I ordered eight!. What happend - they only had seven in stock, so that's what they sent me !.!.!.!.!.!. but they charged me £1 for the first four, and then (tried!.!.!.) £2!.09 EACH for the remaining three - SOME CHANCE MR!.SAINSBURY ! - I'm still awaiting a reply to my rather curt email to them over this one!.
It seems that for EVERY shop I do with them I end up with a voucher - either for having been overcharged or because the delivery was late - and if I get anything - in the way of fruit or veg - that has gone rotten by the next day, that's another email - and refund voucher!.
The moral of this sad story is NEVER LET THEM GET AWAY WITH SO MUCH AS A CRACKED EGG! They charge enough for everything, so I want it to be PERFECT - AND of course, NEVER ALLOW "SUBSTITUTES"!. I once ordered a packet of salt - and got SALTED COD - in a tin ! ! !Www@FoodAQ@Com

TESCO!!!! crap crap crap!.!.!. loads of gripes about them in my last order, but the one that peed me off most was throwing a litre carton of organic milk away yesterday cos they sent me a SHORT sellby and had gone before i even opened it, !.!.!.had to go and buy more milk first thing this morning for my daughter!.!.!. i won't carry on cos i will be here all day!.!.!. I'm going back to sainsburys delivery, cos it may be a bit more expensive but they send good stuff and don't forget half of it, and they ring up about an hour later to check you are happy!!! !.!.!.better than waitrose!!! ;-) thanks for the warning about asda!.!. i won't bother!.!.xx
