Where can I purchase a vanilla bean?!

Question: Where can I purchase a vanilla bean!?
I want to make a vanilla bean cake, but I'm clueless as to where I'd buy a vanilla bean!. I'm pretty sure the grocery stores (stop n shop and shaw's) don't sell them!.

What kind of place would sell them!?

(I'm 15 mins outside of Boston if anyone actually knows any place specific!.)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Your grocery store should have it right in the spice aisle!. You'll get a jar with two or three bean pods!. Otherwise, go to a specialty market and ask one of the sales people!. If you have a Hay Day, or Sutton Place Gourmet or something like that, you'll find the vanilla beans!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
