Answers:
the heat from the microwave dispurses and it kinda plumps up the sweet potatoes and sorda swells it and those stringy veins just happen to appear on the plateWww@FoodAQ@Com

The juice from the sweet potato is getting into the cracks on the plastic/finish of the plate!. When it is clean you don't see them, but whne dirty they show up!. That is why you need to replace plastic/cornette ware due to the possible germs hiding in those cracks!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

thats normal, its bits of roots in the potato still so dont worry!. it always happens to me when my aunty cooks GLIKO PATATES STON FOURNO, a greek dish!. Good luck with sweet potato cooking!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com
