Are you finding that skyrocketing food prices are helping you lose weight?!

Question: Are you finding that skyrocketing food prices are helping you lose weight!?
I was just thinking--bread is so high that the price is about the same as that of lean protein!. So are people cutting bread out of their diets and finding it helps with weight control!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Yes, I eat beans and brown rice, stir fry vegies with little meat!. Fresh vegies from local produce!. No fast food, which saves money!. Buy in bulk and portion control helps save!. Lost 25 lbs!. so far!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The problem is that healthy food is climbing in price and it last shorter than food saturated in preservatives!. As for me, Well I find myself buying things that will last longer, which means it has more preservatives and usually more unhealthy!. Protein bars are awesome but can't see those as full meals all the time!.

Overall its making this Country even more unhealthy since fast food is still cheap and grocery stores are having to pick up their prices!. It is crazy and annoying!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Honestly I haven't noticed that bread is really that much more expensive!. Even if it was, my husband and I are very good at making bread and it is FAR cheaper than buying bread!. Besides, the price of lean protein is going up too!. And as someone else has pointed out, processed junk food is extremely cheap compared to healthier quality low-fat/low-sugar foods!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well the low carb diet is the new craze!. But for me I'm gaining weight!. 70/30 burger instead of ground sirloin, hamburger helper, whatever's on sale which is usually crappy food!. I just weighed myself and discovered that trying to eat less (by buying less) has caused me to put on 10 pounds!. ACK!Www@FoodAQ@Com

it depends on what store you are going to to get bread so if the price is low, then you are saving money and still eating the way you are supposed to!Www@FoodAQ@Com

for us, healthy foods are more expensive than the junk food!. I went to walmart last week and a bag of oreo's was cheaper than a head of cauliflower!. it's discouraging when trying to eat healthy!Www@FoodAQ@Com

No!. If anything, I think it will cause people to gain weight!. Unhealthy, junky foods are almost always less expensive than healthy ones!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm afraid the high grocery prices are putting everyone on a diet!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

just the opposite, I can't affford to go out and do things, so I stay home and eat all day

work is real slow tooWww@FoodAQ@Com

No!. I am still too resourceful of a cook!. Besides, fatty foods are always cheaper!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
