I need kid friendly reciepes with vegetables?!

Question: I need kid friendly reciepes with vegetables!?
Trying to find ways to my 14 month old, and 5 year old to eat vegetables, preferably fresh, but anything will do!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Don't be in a hurry to get the 14 month old on "adult" food!. Increasing evidence indicates this is apt to result in food allergies!.

As for the 5 year old - assuming the adults are eating vegetables with evident pleasure, one of the best ways is to get them involved in fixing them!. It's a bit of a pain, and time-consuming, but it works!. Let them help wash the vegetables, cut them up, add water, watch the timer, etc!.
Very few kids dislike Ants on a Log - a piece of celery with a layer of peanut butter in the "groove" and raisins lined up on top!.

Most kids also like dipping raw vegetables in dips!. Try some until you find one or several he likes!. Having a container of dip that is just his also sometimes helps!.

In Japanese Bentos, they cut up the vegetables to look decorative, like carrots in flower shapes, etc!. You can buy the little cutter for them too!.

You can try arranging the vegetables differently, or adding a yummy dip :)

Try blending some veggies in with some fruits to make a smoothie, or just blend up veggies to sneak into a sauce for them!.

If you don't like the idea of sneaking it in, then you could also make a vegetable soup/stew!.

Mashed Potatoes is always a favourite!
Chicken Noodle Soup with lots of veggies!?
Or maybe try making wraps!? (you could even try using lettuce to wrap the whole thing instead of tortillas!.)

Best of Luck!

Cute way to make fruits look more appealing, if you can find a way to apply it with vegetables, then go for it :DWww@FoodAQ@Com
