Thats not entirely accurate, but not totally wrong either!. The FDA DOES allow a certain amount of "unavoidable larvae, insect hair, human hair, skin cells, and other particles of waste" that could not possibly be avoided in ANY commercially processed food!. Yet another reason I prepare everything at home, using home grown ingredients, when possible!. Think of how many workers there are in a factory that processes food-there is no way you won't get some kind of funk in the food!. By the way, peanut butter is super easy to make at home!. Just whirl some fresh roasted peanuts up in a blender or food processor!. You can make it fresh in small batches-it tastes much better, and no funky stuff! If you eat things that come in boxes, cans, etc!., you WILL be getting more than you bargained for!. I simply don't trust a bunch of strangers to prepare my food, using ingredients that come from who knows where!. I prefer to know exactly what goes into my system!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The FDA allows certain amounts of "agricultural product" in all foods, not just peanut butter!. This used to freak me out, but I realized that if we eat it, it grew in a field where bugs hang out!.!.!.it's a cause and effect thing!. Just try not to think about it and enjoy your PB and J!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, stop eating & drinking and you might be safe!. Of course you must still deal with the muggers & murders!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No!. Urban myth!. I like the one about Richard Gere and the gerbil!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I sure hope not, because I love peanut butter and I like my food without bugs!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I one time bought a Dr!. Pepper 16 oz!.!. and there was a maggot in it!.!.!.still can't drink it to this day!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
