I like Gala apples!. They are red and they look like yellow/orange have been drizzled down them!. They are super sweet, sweeter than red apples!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I prefer the "Fuji" red(with some orange color) apple, for its perfect flavor - much like eating a dessert!. It is the favorite apple in Japan and is now commonly available in the USA!. That said, if I don't have much cash on hand, then I will grab the usual!.!.!.the "Red Delicious" apple, although some find it overly sweet!.

Just before WWII Japanese researchers crossed two American apple varieties, the Red Delicious and old Virginia Ralls Genet (sometimes cited as "Rawls Jennet") apples!. It didn't come to market until 1962!.

There are hundreds of varieties of apples, here's just a few!.!.!.

Green: called "Granny Smith"; tart, best for cooking!. Too tart for snacking!.
Yellow: "Golden Delicious"; tastes great, some people stay away from it because they think it's tart like the Granny Smith!.
Red: usually the very red and most common "Red Delicious", or might be the red/orange "Fuji"!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
