What sort of foods would you take on a picnic?!

Question: What sort of foods would you take on a picnic!?
My partner and i have been talking for a while about wanting to go on a nice picnic together sometime, but we always have the dilemma of what sort of foods to pack with us, so we never go ahead with it!.

Any ideas what would be good and convenient!?

Thanks heaps!! =)Www@FoodAQ@Com

You could make some gourmet club sandwiches, reall easy, get some good bread rolls, spread with avocado, 1 slice of cheese, any cold meats of your choice, lettuce, tomato!. Or if you like you can spread mustard instead of avocado!. you could bring fruit salad that you prepared earlier, or even pasta salad in a container!. drinks of yor choice, chips, dips and crackers!. it's endless, you can even buy a BBQ chicken and shread the meat from thebone at home and put it in a container and take with you bread rolls and fillings and arrange yoru chicken sandwich there at the park!.

TIP: to stop your bread going soggy I suggest you slice your tomamto at home and put it in a small container then when your ready to eat your sandwiches put it in your sandwich there so it's fresh and not soggy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Whatever you and your partner like would be appropriate!. If convenience is important, pick up (or make up) simple sub sandwiches!. If you want an elaborate romantic picnic, think about your favorite foods and scale them to "finger food" style and GO FOR IT!. If you overthink it, you will miss out!. JUST DO IT!. :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have found that fresh fruits are good!. My wife and I, both love cheese so, we always take cheese and crackers or bread!. Pickles are really good as well!. See my theme!? Easy to carry to the picnic, not completely temperature dependent on a hot day!. also, bring plenty of fresh water and of course, a few drinks of your favor!. This time of year there are some really good watermelons coming to market!. This is easy to carry, eat, and dispose of quickly!. I hope this helps!. Oh, one last thing, be wary of salads made with any form of mayonnaise!. It can go bad quickly!. Not a good way to end a pleasant day!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

be sure to pack alot of ice and alot of water first of all!. next make sure u dont bring alot of foods dat will expire fast(and that is also depending on how long the picnic) alot of finger foods sandwiches fruits veggies and nothing dat will melt girls dont like to have sticky fingersWww@FoodAQ@Com

Fried chicken(we like cold fried chicken), potato salad, baked beans, hot dogs & hamburgers (cooked on the fire), chips, cokes, apple pie, brownies, twinkies or a variety of sliced lunch meats & bread with condiments!. Just fire up the grill and cook some steaks right there or take the fish cooker and fry fish n fixins!. Sounds fun!!!!!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com
