FDA allowing meat from cloned animals...?!
Are they going to tell us which meat is cloned!? Or are we going to have to guess for ourselves!? This is scary, I don't want to eat cloned meat or drink cloned milk, it's not healthy or normal!. I don't eat meat anyway, but my family does!. What is going on with the world!? BTW, I think we have til May 3 til this bill or whatever passes, if you're freaked out like me, there's a protest link on the ben and jerry's website!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You are not going to see meat or milk or whatever on the markets shelves from a cloned animal until they get the price down to a point it is competitive with artificial insemination!. And I doubt that will happen in yours or my lifetime!.
Currently, the going price for a single guaranteed clone is ****$150,000**** each!. There are estimates that a mass production form of cloning could get the price for, say, a beef animal, down to near $15,000!. The amount of meat from an animal with a 2000 pound live weight is about 800 pounds!. That is $18!.75/pound before you add in the costs of production and processing!. Who in their right mind is going to pay such a sum for a pound of hamburger!?
It is possible that you will eat meat from a descendent of a cloned animal, most likely from a bull standing at stud!. But for the time being even that is unlikely because the standard methods of obtaining semen are far more cost effective!.

Why would it not be less healthy than the already hormone riddled foods we eat already!? At one point it wasn't "Normal" to eat foods with Natural Flavor (another fancy word for glutamates) and now it's in everything!. It's it's alive and them becomes dead for human consumption it should be alright!. Nothings normal anymore!. it might be even healthier if it's cloned!. if they can produce more on a more regular basis maybe the animals can live longer before we kill em, maybe people will stop buying the chickens that have arms that look like they been working out with arnold swartzenneger!. maybe they can stop useing sooo many chemicals in the meats we eat to keep up with supply and demand etc!. What would be the harm in cloned milk!? if you make a batch of cookies is the second set you put in dangerous!? Its the same ingrediants!. meat!. That's like saying a artificial insemminated lady that has a baby has something that's not a human!. Or if someone carried a baby for someone else that it's not a real human!. It's a real animal!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
