Question: Once you cut open a watermelon does it last longer in the fridge or on the counter!?How do you keep it fresh!?

You definitely want to store it in an air tight container in the fridge but until you cut it leave it out on the counter (for up to 2 or 3 days) as the Lycopene content is far less in watermelons stored below 70 degrees F!. Hope that baby Pearce is enjoying all of the great nutrients in his watermelon!

Well with a water melon it would be ok to store on the counter before cut but after if you take that option youll get bugs pine apples are the same both need to be wrapped when refridgerated but if you wait to long to eat it!.it will wilt and smell horendoes (horrid)Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can wrap watermelon in plastic wrap and store in the fridge!. Or, go ahead and cut the flesh out of the rind, and store in a bowl w/ fridge in the fridge!.

pineapple - leave it out on the counter when it isn't cut!. but then when you cut it, refridgerate it!.

they keep better in teh refrig!. but you have to eat them and not wait for long time!. they do go bad so eat it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

watermelon is meant for the fridge if you leave it on the counter then it will be no good!. pineapple should also go in the fridge but it all depends on how you like it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
