Am I forgiven for a small "theft" of fresh peas ?!

Question: Am I forgiven for a small "theft" of fresh peas !?
Hi Folks,

Having just returned from a supermarket, I confess to opening a pea pod to "check for freshness", and eat the content, whilst getting a bit of shopping!.

It reminded me of fine days as a child, in my Grandads garden!.

Should I have given the empty pod to checkout !?
I see kids using the pick'n'mix as a free sweet shop, and one bloke blatently eating a pear!.

Any guilt in this departement !?

Answers:
So; you opened a pea pod! Did it taste good!? Did you buy the peas!? Of course, the best thing to do would have added a pea pod to your check out!. It truly doesn't matter what other people do what matters is what you feel!. If you have any guilt - don't! Pay for what you tried if you wish!.

I remember my Grampa too!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.I always planted peas for my sons and now my sons and their wives plant peas for my grandchildren!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.they seem to be the very best when you are in the garden and plucking them and eating them on the spot!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The supermarket puts up prices to cover for thieves, don't do it and things will be a bit cheaper!. I am 17 years old, at the moment loads of teenagers are dying, so if I was to stab/shoot someone, does that make it alright because some other losers are doing, no!. You are not a major criminal, but add up the cost off everything that is stolen, and you will see that the money spent on theses thieving idiots, is money we could be using to support the elderly with their pension, which is sickingly low!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The way I look at it, you helped the supermarket avoid a lawsuit!. If you had carelessly dropped a pea on the floor, someone could have slipped on it, gotten hurt, and sued the store for millions!. But by carefully and conscientiously eating each pea, you saved the store a lot of money!. They should thank you by giving you a lifetime supply of free food!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

In all honesty, I would tell the cashier what I did and ask her if she wants to ring one through a second time!. She would, of course, say no, but I would pay for it if she asked me to and my conscience would be eased!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you evil heathen, how could you!? You should be arrested and the key should be thrown away!. Then you should get the electric chair whilst being beaten by a bag of peas!. Let the punishment fit the crime I always say!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Is this confession time!? Because I need to ease my conscience too - I aways try the grapes before I buy them!. Sometimes (oh the shame) I even try the grapes and then don't buy any because they're not to my liking that particular week!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think you can sleep easy tonight without worrying that your destined for hell because you ate a pea!Www@FoodAQ@Com

No guilt, yes you are forgiven but don't do it again you naughty person!. :0) It's nice to know people still buy fresh peas!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Ooooh, forget about confessing, this just evoked so many fond memories of sitting on the back doorstep shelling peas!.!.!.!.!.!.and eating as many as I could!! Priceless!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Supermarkets add to the cost of all their goods to cover all theft!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
