What's causing this?!

Question: What's causing this!?
Everytime I eat ice cream I seem to develop a cough!. It doesn't matter if its store brought or from an ice cream stand and its hard to enjoy it but I eat it anyway!. Its the same with pop-sickles (I guess that's the right spelling)!. I can drink cold drinks just fine though!. Can someone please tell me why that is and if there is anything that can be done about this!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Do you have asthma!? The extreme cold of ice cream and Popsicles will trigger some asthma attacks!. If you have never been told you have asthma, it could just be an allergic reaction!. My daughter has VERY mild asthma, but extreme cold, like in air conditioning, ice cream, winter weather, trigger that cough!.

I would go and see a dr about this!.!.!.they can sometimes prescribe medications or they might tell you to avoid these situations, and to have a rescue inhaler available for emergencies!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You know, freeze pops do that to me too, it's weird!.
Sorry I am not much help, I just thought I would tell you that you aren't alone!.
I have speculated that it's some sort of mild allergy, but never really done anything about it because it's more of an annoyance than anything!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yeah I get it too!. If you eat it slower you shouldn't get it too much mabye!? I think it's just due to it making the air you breathe in from your mouth colder which makes you cough!. I know loads of people who get it!. And I doubt you are allergic to anything!. XWww@FoodAQ@Com

It could be a slight lactose intolerance and could get worse as you get older, or you could "outgrow" it!. If it gets worse, there are OTC products that might help, such as "Lact-aid"!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Maybe your allergic to something in the ice cream!. I would talk to your doctor (if you have one) =)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I get the same way, I thinks, it the coldness of it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

it might be an alergic reaction to an E number or nuralga!. check with a GP!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
