Everyone loves my lasagna and ziti, and most of the time i use Prego meat flavor, but I add a small hand full of sugar to it!. I also just recently started using Paul Newmans organic sauce, the marinara and the tomato basil are both good, they are more authentic tasting, they are small jars so I would use two or three for a lasagna!. For my cheese layers I use Ricotta mixed with a egg and about a cup of mozzarella!. So!.!.!.Sauce mixed with hamburger on the bottom of pan then a layer of noodles, cheese mixture next, sprinkle more mozzarella then sauce then noodles and so on!.!.!.oh and i sometimes add peperoni!. Any questions email me!Www@FoodAQ@Com
I'm one of those strange folks, who likes the sauce in the large can!. I think Hunts or Progresso makes it!.
I add Italian Seasoning to it and because tomato sauce gives most people in my family heartburn, I take the acid out, by adding a little bit of instant dry coffee!. Works every-time!.
My Great Uncle ran an Italian Restaurant back in the 50s and so we learned a lot from him!. He always browned the sauce before adding the meat!.
I buy the one that has Italian Sausage in it!. Then I'll brown some ground pork and ground chuck, add some fresh garlic and chopped onions to it!. Sometimes, I'll even add diced pepperoni!. I like a thick sauce!.
We usually buy Angel Hair for Spaghetti!. Some folks stir theirs up together, not me!. I serve the pasta in one dish and the sauce in another!. This way the individual can put as much sauce as they like on the pasta!.
I usually make the same sauce for my Lasagna, but I use Ricotta Cheese between my layers mixed with a spoonful or 2 of sour cream!. I like the texture!. And for Cheese I use a mixture of Mozzarella and Sharp Cheddar!.
If you are making Shrimp Spaghetti, just use Ragu's thick and Chunky style and add peeled boiled shrimp and peeled boiled crawfish to the sauce!. Heat it up and serve over any spaghetti!. I also like it over linguine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
