Maaaybe I'd take a cake!. A cake is kind of cumbersome because it is large, and would require a large tupperware container to place it in, and also lots of cutlery and plates!. The best kinds of picnic foods are finger foods, the kinds you can just pick up and eat on a blanket!. Casual comfort foods!.

What I'd bring to a picnic!.!.!.cold sandwiches (watch out for mayonnaise, it turns bad in heat), chips, salsa, cold salads like pasta, macaroni, and potato (again, substitute mayonnaise bases for other bases like ranch so they don't spoil in heat), cookies, brownies, etc!. Basically anything cold and able to be held in your hand is fine for picnics!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Fried chicken, potato salad, brownies, pie or cake & some cokes!. I would probably take apple pie just cause my bunch likes it, but cake would be great too! Sometimes we take hamburger meat & weiners and grill them there with some chips and pie or cake!. You can make a picnic out of anything!. Steaks cooked in the wilderness is hard to beat! Make some mashed potatoes and warm them on the fire when you cook the steaks!. Corn roasted in the husks is really something good too! It all depends on how much trouble you want to go too and how long you will be there!. Just a variety of lunch meats, good rolls & a couple different cheeses & chips would be perfect! Your cake would fit right in there! When we camp I always take bacon, eggs, jelly and fry a can biscuits right there in the skillet!. And my coffee pot!!. Now that is the best breakfast you'll ever have sittin there in the woods or by the lake! Hope you have as much fun as we do!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Cold roast chicken, cold onion and olive tart, potato salad, green salad, cheese, buttered bread rolls!.

If I was asked to bring a cake, I would probably bring something like brownies or iced cupcakes as they are easier to share around and eat and you don't have to bring a knife!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Chicken salad sub sandwiches!. A seperate container with lettuce and tomatoes to add to it!. A container of cut up fruit!. Potato salad!. Brownies or rice krispie squares!. If you have a good container to hold the cake, extra plates, and forks!. Sure!. I LOVE cake!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Homemade steak sandwiches, potato chips, pickles, olives, cold waters & sodas and cookies!. I would not take a cake unless it was a birthday party!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

a couple of salads, chips, pickles, cold fried chicken, rolls and butter, melon, fruit, cheese and wine!.!.!.!.!.!.!.thats what i would takeWww@FoodAQ@Com
