DRINKS:
There really are no common drinks!. Jamaicans drink a bit of everything!. However depending on the season, most Jamaicans might drink a specific drink!. For example, around Christmas time, Jamaicans drink a lot of sorrel!. also, Jamaicans tend to like a lot of fruit juices!. So, you'll find that Jamaicans like to drink juices like guava juice, soursop juice, orange juice, etc!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I am a former chef and worked for a Jamaivcan resort hotel run by a Canadain hotel chain back in the 1980's, and I am surprised the lady from Jamaica did not mention Johnnycake or Festival, Ting, Guinness Punch, Champange Cola and Cow foot soup!.

The others she said are daily staples, we had a mango, papaya and pimento tree (allspice) on the property and could make alot of things and the Sorrel tree made nice sweet/rummy punch at Xmas time, with madeanother staple "esceviche fish" with the leaves of our pimento trees and when the berries ripened we had allspice coming out the windows!. We even burned the wood and leaves in our Jerk pit for our jerk chicken, pork sausage and fish at the hotel!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
