Question: Homemade roadtrip snacks!?
Im going on an 8 hour trip into the states and I need some great roadtrip snacks that do not have to be kept cold, and that do not contain meat or produce!. I would like to make them ahead of time before we leave the house!. Thanks!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think you'll like this recipe!.!.!.the reviews do recommend you add more milk to it!. I intend to make these this week!

also, try taking your favorite nuts (I like pecans), and either make a savory coating, like worchestershire sauce, melted butter, garlic and onion powders, and toasting the nuts a few minutes then coating with mixture and baking for another few mintues (being sure to keep checking on them!) until they are dry and somewhat "glazed"; or you could make a sweet version with melted butter, brown sugar and spices or water and regular sugar boiled to a syrup!. Toast nuts and then glaze and bake until set!.

also mixing some of your favorite dried fruits with some fav nuts and putting them in bags is good!.

I like to get nuts and dried fruits from bulk bins at the local farmers grocery!.!.!.they are usually cheaper and somewhat fresher!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
