How many calories are in...?!

Question: How many calories are in!.!.!.!?
1 cup of mixed nuts of like almonds, cashews, pumpkin and sunflower seeds AND dried fruit, like rasions peices of dried apriocot and stuff!.!. how many calories in a cup of that!?!?!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
that would depend on the ratio of nuts to seeds and dried fruit you have in there!. The more nuts you have, the higher the calories will be because nuts are high in monounsaturated fats and fat contains more calories per gram (9 kcal) than carbs and protein (which contain 4 kcal per gram)!.

By the way, that's a good healthy snack choice!. You're getting in your fruit, protein, and monounsaturated fat (the heart healthy fat)!. One serving of fruit is 1/4 cup dried or 1/2 cup fresh!. Although nuts contain heart healthy fat, as I said, they are still high in calories, so be sure you don't eat a ton of it in one sitting!. You only need a small amount of it!. The technical definition of a snack is between 100-200 calories (unless you're a big guy or an athlete then its ok to have a 300 calorie snack)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Most mixed nuts cups have about 330 calories or so, and a cup of dried fruit can be up to 600 calories! So very roughly, like 475 calories!. Dried fruit is not nearly as healthy as fresh fruit, that is for sure, and to make an even better choice, go for unsalted nuts!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
