between my 2 year old and myself we go through 2 gallons of milk a week, if i dont drink it from a cup,!.!.!.!.!.i would get it from my bowls of cereal, so i probably drink more than three glasses! milk is expensive, i try not to think about the price, i buy two gallons at atime i think you save a LITTLE doing it that way!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I don't drink milk (well, except with Oreos)!.
The milk we buy in stores was designed and created for the proper nutrition of new cows, not adult cows or adult humans!.
If it is a calcium problem, supplements may be a better choice!.
Powdered milk, treated properly (with chocolate syrup or other flavor enhancers) may be a good answer (even mixing half and half with whole milk)!.
Hope you find a workable solution!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't buy into the "Milk Your Diet" campaign!.
First, I've had more success at weight loss, when I limit my milk option to a "special treat" or just mixed in as a tablespoon to a cup here or there in recipes!. Second, as a diabetic, milk, even the skim variety, just has too much sugar to be anything BUT a treat!. Third, I have 9 kids!.!.!. so I do budget milk into the diet, but not at 3 glasses a day for each person!.
Milk for our family is easy to put on cereal, nice to put in pancake mixes, and good when nearly frozen and served with warm cookies!.
However, that being said, milk is a persnickety investment around here!. I only buy 2 gallons at a time!. That's because there are weeks that we'll open one gallon and never finish it, letting one full one go bad!.!.!.THAT IS TOO EXPENSIVE!. Yet there are other weeks, that I stop off at the store, or send a kiddo walking (we live less than a block from a local grocer, that has a great price!.!.!.2 gallons for $6!.00), an extra 4 - 5 times for just milk alone!
And to be honest, when the budget gets really tight, milk is one of those "optional" buys after the first two gallons!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No!.!.!.it is not too much for my budget!. Make sure to buy the largest amount you can at a time!.!.!.that will help for the cost to go down!. I buy 4L at a time (I'm Canadian), instead of 1L, which costs more individually!.
Or if you buy in large quantity, and you're seeing that you are not drinking it quickly enough, and some goes bad!.!.!.consider buying in smaller quantities to avoid spoilage, and money waste!.
Hope this helps!Www@FoodAQ@Com
