I need to wash vegetables, green leafy vegs on my own, but im afraid of worms?!

for the past few days, im trying to put the unwashed vegetables on the refrigerator, thinking that the worms snails or bugs are going to die!. but yesterday, while i was washing them, saw 3 or 4 worms still moving!. im very afraid of them and couldnt even touch the vegs without gloves!. what should i do!? i tried salt and water and they are still alive!. i had to throw the whole vegetable!.!. :(Www@FoodAQ@Com
