The bacteria usually gets introduced to plants through manure that hasn't been processed correctly!. You can grow your own plants just don't make your own fertilizer!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, if its not connected to the Salmonella source, then you won't get it!.!.!.it only spreads from tomato to tomato, if yours are isolated in your own garden and not close to any other Salmonella sources (ie reptiles or raw meat) than you should be fineWww@FoodAQ@Com

No ~ not unless you grow them in poison soil or use bad fertilizer!.

They still don't know where the tainted tomaotes came from or what caused the problem!. CDC is pretty poor ~ and inept at their job!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
