Watch the grocery store ads and the things u use alot, buy more when its on sale, so that u have enough until the next time it goes on sale (so u dont have to pay full price)!. Use coupons, but only ones u really need!. (dont just buy something cuz u have a coupon, unless its a really good deal)!. Use coupons when things are on sale to get a really good deal!.

Look for mail-in rebates!. Walgreens has monthly rebates, lots of freebies!. And u can do them online rather than mail it in!.

Use Target coupons at Target (also can be combined with manufacturer's coupons!.) http://sites!.target!.com/site/en/supertar!.!.!.
The coupons change either weekly or biweekly, i forgot!. You can also print these out at the kiosks at Target so u dont have to use your own paper and ink!.
Or u can use this link: http://afullcup!.com/upload/cmps_index!.ph!.!.!.
They have all the current ones there, even the ones that have been taken off the target site!. and u can print as many as u want at once!.

If you have an ALDI store around, start shopping there!. They have great prices and offer 'almost' everything you need!.
Meat: Buy CHUCK (it can be used for steaks, stew and pot-roast) and Country style ribs (they have lots of meat on them and are cheap)!.
Buy your meat in bulk and cut it yourself!. Lots of the cost in meat is the convinience of it being pre-cut!.

Sorry didn't want to make you sad!.
Save-a Lot is good option too!. (-:Www@FoodAQ@Com

Head Lettuce - $0!.59
ect!.!.!.!.

They are cheaper than shop n save, schnucks, walmart, target, ect!.!.!.!.

THIS IS THE BEST STORE WITH LOW PRICES!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I dont know if you have a target by where you live, but their brand is sold right next to the other brands and you see a huge savings!. I bought shredded cheese there for 2 dollars less than the other brand and its the exact same stuffWww@FoodAQ@Com

Popcorn in a bag, to pop yourself; all kinds of pasta; canned tuna and Spam; bulk frozen vegetables!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

DR!. THUNDER!.!.!.YOU MUST HAVE A "SAV~A~LOT" NEARBY!? LOLWww@FoodAQ@Com

what we do to save a little money (besides buying the store brand and such) is buy the meat when its on sale and freeze it!.

here, chicken breasts are usually like 3!.99 a pound, but once or twice a month they go on sale for 1!.99 so we stock up!. same thing with chops, steak, ground beef, ground turkey, etc!.

another thing i do is make a meal plan for the week, then make a grocery list based on that list plus anything else i need (stuff for daughter's lunch, some snacks, milk, butter) and buy ONLY what's on the list!. I save so much money by doing this!.

if there's several grocery stores in your area, look at the flyers to see which one has the best deals that week and shop there!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

well, we also don't buy a lot of name-brand stuff, like you, so we save money there!. And we pretty much only buy stuff on sale--if it's not on sale that week, we say that we don't need it (unless it's milk, I guess, but we'll happily drink soy milk or something else if that's cheaper)!. My big campaign in the last few months has been avoiding things that have the highest mark up, and trying to make them myself!. For example: bread, which is flour, water and yeast, can be so expensive!. So I either only buy it off the discount rack (just toast it, you'd never know!), or more often, I make it myself!. I know that sounds like a big pain, but there are great recipes out there like the no-knead kind that practically makes itself (example: http://www!.sullivanstreetbakery!.com/reci!.!.!. or even more often I just make some version of irish soda bread, because it uses baking soda and is sooo fast!. Same thing with crackers--homemade ones are better and a fraction of the price!. We're in the process of replacing breakfast cereals (which just disappear too quickly) with homemade muffins and scones!. You can set aside an hour and make several batches and keep them in the freezer for breakfast instead of cereal!. And I'm making my own plain yogurt too!. Who would've guessed that the economic crisis would turn me into a prairie woman!? Otherwise my sister in law is a huge believer in coupon websites, but I haven't really gotten into them!.!.!.
Oh, one more thing: our local store is owned by Kroger--they have a fantastic credit card that gives you cash back to use at the store!. Every quarter we get about 30-40 bucks in gift certs!. for the store that we've earned by shopping there!. It's AWESOME!. Other kroger stores are smiths, fred meyer!.!.!.not sure what else!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
