Why are black and green olives fattening, aren't they kinda a vegetable?!


Question: Why are black and green olives fattening, aren't they kinda a vegetable!?
they're a bit fattening, 5 black olives have 2!.5 grams of fat,
and 6 green olives have 2!.5 grams of fat!. That adds up if you eat a bunch of them!. and i love them !! why are they fattening !?Www@FoodAQ@Com

It is a natural fat, so it is not as bad for you as say, fried food!.

they contain alot of oil,hence olive oil!.!.i would eat this over most oils though as it is better for you!.also they are a fruit not a vegtable,they grow on smal trees throughout the mediteranian,north africa and even california and south america!.perhaps there is something in the brining process that makes them more fatty!.

Ever hear of olive oil!? You get it from pressing olives!. It's a natural occurring oil in the olives which is why olives are fattening!. However, it's a "good" type of fat even though it contains the same amount of calories as any other fat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Have you heard of olive oil!? You get that by pressing fresh olives!. There is some left!.

also, look in your cabinet!. You probably have a bottle of vegetable oil, and maybe some Crisco, also vegetable oil!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
