My daughter has to take sack lunches on field trips but they cannot have chips, jello or anything sweet!. My main concern finding something that will fill her up!. I know i can use trail mix and crackers and fruit but i have no idea besides a pb&j and spaghettiosWww@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
-Cheese and crackers
-Cold cut sandwiches, like ham and cheese, etc
-Grilled cheese sandwiches
-BLT (bacon, lettuce, and tomato)
-chicken cutlet, lettuce, and tomato
-chicken fingers with ketchup or honey mustard, something on the side for her to dip them in
-carrots, celery, apples, etc and peanut butter, she can dip them in the peanut butter
-If she likes pancakes, you can make her waffles or pancakes in the morning, wrap them in foil to stay warm and put any toppings on the side in a ziplock bag!. She can add them when she eats!. She can even eat those with her hands! She can eat the waffle with her hands, and pancakes can be folded and eaten with her hands!. Mix it up, plain, chocolate chip, blueberry, etc!. You can give her a side of bacon, etc!.
-Wraps! She can have chicken with lettuce and tomatos with any dressings, she can have ham and cheese with lettuce, etc, whatever she likes to eat, put it in a tortilla and cut it in half and she has a hand held wrap that's easy to eat, fun, and different!
-You can make her any leftovers, if there's something you've had for dinner that she likes, make her a sandwich of it, flank steak with lettuce on a sandwich with some mayo salt and pepper, chicken cutlets with lettuce and tomato, salt and pepper, see if there's anything that's leftover from dinner that she would like to take with her the next day!. You may be able to pack some leftovers from dinner into her lunch!
-Baked potato with some toppings!. You can give her a baked potato at room temperature, and then have some toppings like sour cream in another bag for her to add when it's time for lunch!.

You can also get her one of those ice pack things that slip right into the lunch bags!. You can also take some water, put it in a ziplock bag, freeze it, then the next morning, put that bag in a bigger ziplock bag and put that in her lunch to keep her food chilled!. This way, as it thaws, it won't wet the lunch sack or her lunch, and if she throws it out, no big deal! That's if you want to give her something like a fruit salad that will require that it be kept cold (also put some lemon juice on it, it will keep it from turning brown by the time she eats it, it will still be nice and colorful and not all brown if you put lemon on it and she won't taste it at all!)!.

The things I mentioned above don't have to be chilled, but I just wanted to mention about the freezing the ziplock bag and putting it in another ziplock bag just in case there was something you wanted to give her that does require it be chilled!. You can also get some ice pack things at any grocery store, but at least with the ziplocks, it's no big loss if it's thrown out or lost!.

I hope some of these ideas help!Www@FoodAQ@Com

How about a pb&j sandwich and some fruit!. Most of the time fruit is very filling and healthy for you too!. You can also try raisins!. I have also seen little packets of unsalted mixed nuts!. Those are really good and they are not bad for you!. Kids also really like crackers and cheese or just a plain cheese stick!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
