Roe of scallop?! REALLY eggs or semen of the scallop?!
I just asked a Q about what the roe of a scallop is!.!.!.
and i got the response "The roe of all fish and seafood is either the seman or the eggs depending on the gender!."
I guess I knew that (ie caviar) but of a scallop!?! how can that be!? roe of a scallop is long and shaped like it attaches it to the shell!?! so, if its a KING scallop does that mean its the semen!? lol or is KING just size not sex of the scallop!?
Oh man, should I eat the roe of the scallop!? The whole idea of it being egg or semen has put me off!! i can handle caviar and stuff but not first thing in the morning! (yeah, ok maybe eating scallops in the morning is disgusting enough, but the roe!? lol)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I love the way you didn't believe the first answers so you asked again ! ! !
Roe is another name for fish eggs!. Soft roe tends to be the "yet to develop" eggs, and hard roe is actually a load of eggs already formed!.
