You know the kind you buy in the store next to the sliced baloney!? My dad says they feed the hogs sliced olives then they go into their meat and you just slice it off!. He was being kind to spare you the truth!. The "olives" are actually real pig "meat"!. You know, their thingies!. When they clean the slaughterhouse floor, there are a lot of bits & bobs left over from the pigs, and after awhile they turn green!. So those are slices of rotten pig knobs!. They shove the olive slices in the "other end" of the pig!. You have to do it while he's asleep, though, and veeeerrrrrryyyyy gently, or he wakes up and tries to push the olives back out again, which can be messy!.
