So long as it doesn't smell off, it's ok!. Mince does have a tendency to go that colour!. I've often cooked it when it's changed and I've not given anyone food poisoning yet!Www@FoodAQ@Com
ince oxidises very easily and so turns brown at room temperturee very quickly!.
if it was left covered all the time and is still cool to the touch it should be safe but once its oxidised what little flavour it had would have gone!.
if you're willing to take the risk heat it until its at least 70 C for 10 minutes to kill any bacteria!.
but bearing in mind price of mince and lack of taste this will have its best to throw it!.
if it is a room temperature then its likely to have grown lots of bacteria and is probably not safe to eat (the sniff test will tell you if it smells stale or musty rather than fresh and meaty it gone off!
leave mean over night in the fridge to defrost its safer as you dont run risk of food poisoning!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Overnight on the counter!? Of course it's not safe to eat! I can't believe how many people tell you it is safe! You're not guaranteed to get food poisoning every time you do, but it's like playing Russian roulette!. Babies, small children, and the elderly are particularly susceptible to food poisoning!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Considering the price of mince, to be on the safe side I'd bin it!.
I suppose you could always feed it to next door's dog!. If he's O!.K!. you'll know that it's O!.K!. in future!Www@FoodAQ@Com
