This may sound dumb, but why is ice cream so expensive?!

Question: This may sound dumb, but why is ice cream so expensive!?
Sounds weird, right!?
I was at the grocery store, and I bought a gallon of blue bell vanilla ice cream and it was $6! That seems expensive for ice cream!. I typically don't buy ice cream, so I have never noticed the price!. Has it always been this expensive!? Or is it rising because the cost of milk is going up!.!.!.milk is in ice cream, thus ice cream is higher!? That's my thinking process, hahah!.
Alright, thank you in advance!Www@FoodAQ@Com

No question is dumb if it's important to you! Yes, Ice Cream is expensive because of the milk and sugar, plus the purveyors have passed on the fuel charge to deliver that Ice Cream to your store, and your store has passed on that price to you! You've also picked a very good Ice Cream as well, Blue Bell is one of the top 15 producers of quality Ice Creams, so at least you have good taste when rarely buying your treats!. You're thinking process is correct, high prices for the makers of our fine delectables roll down hill!. I just bought Ice Cream for myself today (its a treat too, because I rarely have room for it in my tiny freezer) and I paid 2!.49 for a half gallon and that was just a store brand name, so I think you faired pretty well, compared to you!. I hope this answers your question today!. Have a GREAT week!Www@FoodAQ@Com
