Can eggs be eaten after its expiry date?!
Best before date has expired so can eggs still be eaten!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:
the date on eggs is a sell by date for the stores use, and if the eggs are kept refrigerated they are still good for a few months, remember dates on almost anything is a sell by date not expiration datesWww@FoodAQ@Com
Yes, eggs can be easily kept a month after the "sell by" date!.
In reality, the date is really when the eggs should not be sold by the store so it's really an expiration date - where the eggs magically become bad after that date!.
Just keep in the fridge!.
Edit!.!. The floating egg thing does not tell you if the eggs is rotten or not!. It's a wive's tale!. You might as well place the eggs on the floor and do a rain dance wound the carton!. If it rains the next day, the eggs are bad!.

Yeah, put them in a bowl of water, if they sink or stand up on one end they're fine, if they float don't eat them!.
I didn't say it meant they were rotten, It's a way of telling how old the egg is!. It's not a myth or an old wives tale actually, the pocket of air inside an egg gets bigger as the egg gets older!. I've heard it before and It was on a segment about best before dates on a national television programme just this morning, so hah!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes- I can tell you a gross story!. I was making some fried eggs at my parents house and told my dad that they seemed a bit funny looking but smelled fine!. He laughed and said they could be a year old (my brother bought them and had moved out)- I did not eat them!. I have eaten eggs over 1 month past the date and thats as far as I will goWww@FoodAQ@Com
Fill a bowl or pan with cold water and put the eggs in, if they sink they're ok to eat, if they float discard them!. Generally speaking eggs will last for a couple of weeks in the fridge or a week at room temperature!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
There is a serious misconception about eggs!. They can actally last up to 6 months depending on quality!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
