What are the black specs in Fritos?!


Question: What are the black specs in Fritos!?
I heard they were mouse droppings from mice getting into the corn or cornmeal or whatever they use to make it!. Is this true!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's part of the corn itself!! When they make it, I believe they use dried or partially dried corn!. When coarsely ground, it has some black specs in it!.!.!.
