Why do they put that little piece of fat at the top of Pork&Beans Cans?!

to show that it is pork and beans and not just beans with pork fat!. The beans are cooked in the can and the pork disolves giving flavor to the beans!. The small remnant of pork is traditional!. Oh, that is supposed to be the pork!. Mine as well use vegetarian beans!. They are made by Heinz!. Same as pork and beans with out the little piece of pork at the the top!. They cost about $1!.19 a can!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
