I believe it's loquats what's growing in your garden, kumquats look and taste more like small oval oranges!.

Is the flesh kind of pearly white!? Is the stone almost as big as marble, brown and very shiny!? Then you certainly have a loquat tree in your garden!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

A kumquat is like a tiny orange!.You do not eat the inside because it is extremely sour, but you can eat the skin or use it for zest!.The skin is actually sweet but very acidic!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

kumquate are like mini sour oranges - they are citrus and you eat skin and flesh - what colour are they!? you might have greengages which are a form of plum and some varieties are orangey!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Kumquats are like tiny oranges!. Persimmons match that description, and they do grow on trees!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Hey, I'm pretty sure kumquats don't have stones in them, they're like little weird shaped oranges!. Not as juicy or as nice as an orange though!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

All I can tell you is that it's a fruit!*Www@FoodAQ@Com
