Girl I am going to tell you how to make it homemade,it's easy!. 1box of confectionery sugar if you like it a little thicker add 1/3 cup more of confectionery sugar,so buy 2 boxes, one 8 oz cream cheese at room temp, 1 stick of room temperature butter or margarine,1 tsp vanilla extract!. in a bowl cream butter and cream cheese add the entire box of powder sugar, mix if you find that the frosting is not as stiff as you like it add a little of your 1/3 cup of confectionery sugar at a time till you get the consistency you like, I am always fine with the one box, add the tsp of vanilla, and that's it frost cake or cupcakes, and top with chopped pecans(optional) this icing can be used on yellow cake top with coconut, or lemon cake, any type of cake it's fabulous and you did it from scratch and what a difference!Www@FoodAQ@Com
I prefer a cream cheese frosting on my red velvet cake!.
For each 1 lb box of confectioner's sugar use 1/2 cup of butter, softened and 8 oz pkg of cream cheese, softened, beat butter and cream cheese until smooth, slowly beat in sifted confectioner's sugar until fluffy adding 1 to 2 tsp of vanilla extract, you can double this amount depending on how much frosting you want or need on your cake!. Cheers
Cream cheese seems the favourite, I did try a recipe once that used marscapone in place of cream cheese with a couple of tablespoons of heavy cream beaten in and almond extract in place of the vanilla, it was very good as well!. Cheers
why in the world would someone give people a thumbs down for trying to help someone else!?!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
