Can you eat mustard by itself?!

Question: Can you eat mustard by itself!?
Answers:
Ewww!.!.!. yuck!.!.!. no!Www@FoodAQ@Com

No!. It is too spicy, acidic, and high in sodium to be eaten straight up!. I would assume that if someone ate a cup of mustard, they would have severe thirst, a burning tongue, and some acid reflux, and possibly the desire to throw up!. Plus mustard has no nutritional value so I don't see why you would want to eat it as though it is food!. Because it's not, it's just a condiment like salt and pepper!. It should therefore only be considered a condiment, and not a food!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If I had to eat it by itself I probably could but I can't think of a single reason why I would want to do that!. As a child I did eat mustard sandwiches with my young uncle!. It was a piece of white bread, yellow mustand, and a sprinkle of sugar!. Rather good as I remember but not for an adult!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
