Traditional British Food (look & help please)?!

Question: Traditional British Food (look & help please)!?
I'm going abroad on a project, and we all need to bring some traditional food from our country!.
Now i think british so i'm like fish and chips, sausages etc!.
But i've got to fly, and the whole trip will take me like 12hours or so!. So it has to be something i can pack and take on a plane with me, so that counts out fish and chips and stuff!.
So do any of you have any ideas of what i could take!?
Thanks already!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can buy syrup sponge in a tin, it's lovely, then you could take a tin of ambrosia custard to go with it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Not sure where you are going but with today's 'security' issues you have a challenge ahead of you!.
Tinned or packaged foods are probably your best bet!. English Mustard, Marmite are obvious ones but I think your tinned pie would also work!. Dried mushy peas, porridge oats, batter mix are all light and should travel well!. A tin of shortbread and proper English tea would be nice!. Have a great holiday!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Don't take any food on a plane, irrespective from where to where!. They'll fine you for an apple you got ON the plane!. ($200) No food, wood or other plant material to be transported between countries!. They are scared you import the "hibbyjibbies" into their country!.
