Are my baby-back ribs bad?!

Question: Are my baby-back ribs bad!?
I bought 2 sets of ribs at BJs- one expiring 6/27 and the other expiring 6/25!. The 6/27 look fresh and red!. The 6/25 smells and looks a little paler!. Are these ribs still good!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
No the pale one is not good!. Though u cant see the bacteria, its forming so it smells horrible!. Refrigerate them if you didnt! just to be safe, throw out both of them because the first one expires 2 days after- and you never no!. As manda said bacteria is no picnic! Hope that helps~ :-)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Meat looses its bright red color long before it goes bad!. The myoglobin in the meat reacts with oxygen and gradually looses its red color!. It doesn't mean the met is bad!. In fact, it's a good sign that the manufacturer hasn't treated the meat with chemicals to make it stay red!.

As long as the meat smells good and the expiration date is still good, it is perfectly safe to eat and the quality will not suffer!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Eek!. Throw out the smelly ones or burn them to charcoal to kill the bacteria!. I'd throw them out, personally!. Food poisoning is no picnic ;)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
