Why aren't pickles considered a big-time diet food?!

Question: Why aren't pickles considered a big-time diet food!?
I've never really eaten pickles before, but I had some at a friends place and liked them!. I then checked the jar, and saw there were only 5 calories per 2 pickles!. They were very filling, and are a tasty, salty snack (they can replace chips for me darn near)!. I'm trying to lose weight, and when I feel hungry from now on, I'm gonna snack on as many pickles as need be until I'm full!. There's likely no other food as filling with as few calories (I'd have to eat 1400 of them to put on a pound)!. I'm pretty sure the pickle is very underrated as a diet food!. What do you think!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

I've read that pickles are a great diet food, not only are they very low in calories something about them is supposed to curb your appetite!. Not sure if it is the vinegar or the spices but I find that it really works if I grab a couple when I've got a craving!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Pickles have too much salt, which will cause you to retain water and you will feel bloated and heavy!. When you are dieting, you want to drink plenty of water, so it flushes your system!. If you have too much salt in your diet, all of your dieting efforts will be for nothing!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sounds like a good idea, I love the bread and butter pickles, I get the ones sweetened With Splenda they have no calories and no fat and its six pickles a serving!. Its a great snack I have trouble putting them down!Www@FoodAQ@Com
