They pick and choose what to sacrifice!. Fat plays a roll in delivering flavor to the taste buds, so salt helps compensate for blandness created by low fat!. Making the perfectly healthy food doesn't do much good of people don't like it enough to eat it!. They'll just go back to the unhealthy stuff!.

Healthy choice is a line of food that keeps sodium down!. Check it out!. IMHO, it's not as tasty as Lean Cuisine but you might prefer it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sodium is added to food both for taste and as a preservative!. The more processed the food, the higher the sodium content is likely to be!. The high salt content keeps the lean cuisine from spoiling!. (You obviously cannot leave regular chicken in the fridge for two monthes and expect it to still be fresh!)
But salt is usually only a problem for older people!. So a lean cuisine once in a while is absolutely fine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

b/c

- they are trying to make it taste better
- you will feel fuller b/c the sodium makes you drink more
- they know that most people either do not read labels or do not look at anything but the calories and maybe the fat (my fiance never seems to notice the servings per container part!.!. its a little important)Www@FoodAQ@Com

there not healthy, something has to give it the rubbery flavor! :)Www@FoodAQ@Com
