Why does eating cinnamon have that "negative" effect?!

Question: Why does eating cinnamon have that "negative" effect!?
For those who don't know, apparently it feels like you're dying, it absorbs/repels all the water that it makes contact with and it dries up your throat!.

These things are what circulates wide panic in consumers to believe that something is bad for you, like 'cinnamon is bad for you'- oh those just drive me nuts!
Cinnamon has lots of beneficial qualities, including helpful in digestion!.
Anyone who spreads these things are either making stuff up, or blowing one person's individual allergic reaction out of proportion!. Almost everyone can be allergic to something!. That doesn't mean it's bad for the general population!.
Don't believe everything you see on youtube!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I just watched a video, and lol, the guy 'ate' half a bottle of it, so it seems reasonable that it would dry up your throat!. Ugh, I can imagine taking in that much!. I don't really know why though, sorry!. All I can think of is the fact that the texture is like dry, but there's probably something that explains why it does that!. I think if you take in any kind of powder or some type of texture like that, it'll make it dry slightly, eccept for powdered sugar!. That's light for some reasons, and absorbs fast!. Okay, yeah, I don't really know what I'm talking about!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I guess if you eat teaspoon fulls at a time, it could be bad, I know what you mean about repelling!. Sometimes when I bake with it, it just slides around the dry ingredients until I get the blender at it!.
I have never heard of it being bad for you!. It has to be one of my favorite spices though!. Versitle in baking and cooking!. I love it!.
Who knew tree bark would be so delicious!?!!Www@FoodAQ@Com
