Is there any time of year that you shouldn't eat a rabbit that you've caught?!

Question: Is there any time of year that you shouldn't eat a rabbit that you've caught!?
Answers:
In the case of wild jack rabbits, never eat them in months ending with a "Y"!. They tend to carry disease!. Domestic rabbits, doesn't matter!. Here is something I Googled to explain this more thoroughly:
It is estimated that nearly 2 million "Jack Rabbits" are taken by hunters annually in California!. The flesh is excellent eating!. In periods of high population, some Black-tailed Jacks, like other game and non-game species, may become diseased and carry tularemia or be a host to common animal parasites!. While this is of minor consequence to humans, care should be used in handling or skinning all animals, as some diseases are transmissible through open cuts or abrasions!. Cooking thoroughly eliminates any danger!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

if I caught it, and I want to eatit, the time of year will not stop me!. I've heard the meat is tougher during certain seasons because rabbits bleed just like women!. I don't know the truth of that statement either!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
