BROWN SPOTS ON red beef??!


Question: BROWN SPOTS ON red beef!?!?
Is it ok to eat this!? There are small spots about the size of a nickel and they are a little bit darker than the meat!? Is it safe to eat it if you cook it!?!?!? THanks (it doesn't smell bad either)Www@FoodAQ@Com

it should be fine!. just make sure the middle of the meat is not brown and doesn't smell if it smells don't eat it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

As a USPH certified food handler I will tell you that you must discard the beef, but as a person that lives alone and crave some beef for dinner I will tell you to cut in strips and discard the brown parts!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

probably where the air hit the beef and caused the spots!.!.does it have a date on the package!? I would say it is ok!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
