Answers:
"Breakfast in America" diner
rue Mahler near the Saint-Paul metro (4eme arrondissement)
or 17, rue des Ecoles

Most of the research I did on the Web suggested eating in a big hotel!. You don't have to stay there; you can show up and pay for breakfast!. It may be more expensive than you like, but you're in a tough spot - you want a real breakfast in a place where the natives normally only drink coffee in the morning!.

Consider starting off with strong coffee and then try to catch an early lunch!. A museum cafe, if open in the morning, may also offer American-type food!. While it may not be "breakfast" food, it will be more substantial than bread/fruit!.

If these American restaurants aren't open in the morning, get something to go the night before:

You can also find a local Monoprix (grocery), pick up what you want (maybe the night before) and eat it in your hotel!. They may have prepared items, too; I can't remember!. The main part of the grocery is in the basement, at least in the location I went to!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

There are many restaurants that sell, eggs, cheeses, yogurt and meats!.!.!.you shouldn't have a problem finding something to eat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
