Why is it that cold beverages quench our thirst better than warm ones??!
Even when I drink the same amount of water for instance, i still feel thirsty after drinking 12 oz of 90 degree water, but when i drink the 35 degree water, im satisfied!. Why does the temperature of a liquid have such an impact like that!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

The cold water does not actually quench your thirst any better!. It just feels cool and refreshing, especially if you are hot or have been active!. There is pros and cons to having a cold drink when you are hot or have been active!.
The pro is that being colder than your body temperature your body must warm it up before using it!. This means you can burn more calories!. However, the con side of it means that if you are hot then the last thing you want is for your body to go into heat up mode!. also if you have been active you are most likely dehydrated and need the liquid sooner rather than later!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
