If a best before date says "March10", does this mean March 2010, or 10th March?!

Question: If a best before date says "March10", does this mean March 2010, or 10th March!?
It's a Cup-a-soup, and I'm from the UK so dates go 9th July 1008, rather than July 9th 2008, like in other countries!.

Hmmm!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you've bought a cup of soup from 1008, you have Antiques Roadshow material!.

It means 10 March this year!. On the other hand it's only 3 months out of date and is probably still good!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
