I've never ever eaten meat - but want to try.?!
I've been a vegetarian all my life, when I was younger I ate fish and scampi but stopped this around the age of 10!.
I am now 20!.
I would like to try meat but am worried I will be unable to disgest it and it'll make me sick!? Will this be the case!? Has anyone here never eaten meat but then gone to try it later on in their life!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

You'll be able to digest it, but after so long without it I'd suggest starting off easy!. Any major change in diet can cause problems at first, especially if you overdo it, and this is definitely a major change!. Take it easy, make sure you chew it up really well, and be prepared for your stomach to wonder what you're doing to it!. Other than that, ENJOY!Www@FoodAQ@Com
You may want to start with something mild, like turkey or chicken!. If you go straight to sausage or red meat, it might taste gamey to you and you may be turned off before you can actually acquire the taste for meats!. Generally speaking, chicken is the most boring meat there is (sorry chicken lovers out there), but it is mild, so it won't taste quite so funny!. I'd do something simple with it, season it well, and make sure it's cooked properly!. Don't go breaded, or you might as well be eating breaded veggies, anything breaded and fried tastes like the breaded and fried part of the food with no other flavor!.
Fish is a REALLY good time!. But again, start mild!. I'd do a cod or flounder fillet (get it fresh, it should not smell or taste "fishy")!. Then after you acquire the taste for and texture of the fish, move up to salmon (best fish around) and others!. Shell fish are delicious, but they can be briney tasting (clams, oysters)!. If you want to do shell fish, try shrimp first (boiled with Old Bay seasoning)!. Be careful though - shellfish allergies are common and can be anaphylactic (to some lethal)!. Just because you ate these as a kid and had no reaction does not mean you have not built up sensitivity to shellfish!. Try a little at a time and and keep some Benadryl on hand - just in case!.

Just ease into it!. Like start with fish as you've already had experience digesting it if you do alright move slowly towards a very simple chicken!. but don't try to just jump into a prime rib!. That should be like the finish line!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
