Go to college and study hard,Use cooking as a hobby for right now!.One of the worst mistakes is going to culinary school right after high school!.Yeah , it is a wonderful idea sounds fun too but when you finish culinary school (which is 9 months to 15 months only) Nobody will hire you as a chef,You can work on the line or even prep ,it takes two years of that for you even to be considered!. Oh ! almost forgot ,lots and lots of dish washing too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Before Chefs there are cooks - and before cooks apprentice
The worst you can do in that career is to refuse to move -
The best chefs in the best countries, are people who have
a very poor private life - work at dog times - and do all in
order to be recruited in the best restaurants, even for 0$ -
Means that they do not raise a real stability before they are
40 - and even I never was in the US, I'm sure it's the same
everywhere!.
Beware - you love cooking - ok - but cooking jobs are
the other side of the dreamWww@FoodAQ@Com

You have to work very hard, you may start just washing dishes but a college course is a good start, with a placement in a restaurant!. Dont expect much money until youre at the topWww@FoodAQ@Com
