Question: What's causing the skyrocketing costs of food!? Rice is so expensive now when just a few years ago almost!.!.!.
everyone could afford it!. Now, rice is like gold!. What in the world is going on!? Should I join Costco or Sams Club and buy in bulk!? Is bulk buying really smart!? What do you people do to save on your grocery bill!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
the rice prices are so high in particular because the orient has a major drought on their hands and many island nations got hit hard with to much rain which washed out the rice patties!. in drought stricken nations like China and Japan where most of the diet is rice there is no production and California also a major world rice producer in in a drought also so the demand is high and the quanity of the harvested crops is very low so, up up up go the prices!. with rice gas prices have nothing to do with the higher prices!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

its because of gas prices basically!. more money for gas in the trucks that they ship it to the stores in which means prices for food are gonna go up because they arent bringing as much over here!. basically all due to the war and gas prices!. pretty much sucks but we gotta deal with it somehow!. my mom buys a lot of thinks in bulk!. at first it seemed more expensive but it lasts so much longer and in the end your actually saving money believe it or not!. my mom buys most of her stuff from sams club too!. my mom basically goes shopping and buys stuff when there are sales, like shaws supermarket when they have the 10 for 10 deal!. she just stocks up!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

and high gas prices for shipping foods
