Is cheese that was left unrefrigerated spoiled?!

Question: Is cheese that was left unrefrigerated spoiled!?
I left a little package of feta cheese in the grocery bag accidently for 2 days!. I know I've seen cheese at the store sitting out unrefridgerated!. What do you think, to eat or not to eat!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
feta will probably have gone bad!. soft cheeses have to go in the fridge!.hard cheeses, however, you can leave out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sniffing food that might be spoiled only helps if it's had time to actually start smelling bad!. Many foods that have been improperly handled can have bad bacteria forming and still smell just fine!.

When in doubt, throw it out!. That's my policy!. My family's health is much more valuable to me than a few $ worth of food that may make one or more of us ill!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Depends for how long was unrefrigerated!. Some hard cheeses (like Parmesan, romano) or the smoked ones or some spreadable cheeses (like La Vache Qui Rit) may last longer outside, if they are not exposed to any sources of heat (sunlight included)!. The soft cheeses usually last less and the fermentation process makes them sour very quickly!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'd do a sniff test!. I wouldn't just toss it!. Feta is pretty long lasting and is good for quite a while after the sell by date if the package has not been opened!. Unless your home is very warm!.!.!.you'll probably be just fine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes and do not eat it because I ate in once then I startedto vomit everywhere!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

my guess is with feta cheese it's almost certainly bad even if packaged!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes!.!.!.!.!.it is meant to be refrigerated!. Too bad!.!.!.It's so expensive!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
