Does any one eat wild parsnips?!

Question: Does any one eat wild parsnips!?
I do know that the plant itself can burn your skin!. But also know that the egyptians did eat this plant!. I have pulled them out and the root has a very strong parsnip/carrot smell!.

Answers:
Lots of people eat parsnips!. They're also called tubers!. When wild, they are also referred to as Poison Parsnips, because of the skin burning!. They sell them frozen, jarred, and "fresh" at the grocery store!. Everything I can find suggests not to harvest them yourself as they bear a strong resemblence to Poison Hemlock, which is toxic and potentially fatal to animals and humans!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
