Are there any health benefits or worries with using pepper...?!

On the whole Pepper is good for you!.Black Pepper can aid digestion by increasing hydrochloric acid secretion!.It can also aid sweating and acts as a diuretic!.It is used also as a carminitive,as it helps prevent intestinal gas,plus a diaphoretic (helps sweating), and diuretic (helps urination)!.
Black Pepper contains,manganese,vitimin K,iron,dietry fibre!.
Although not common,there can be a downside!.Whilst Pepper is one of the oldest forms of seasoning, it can cause allergies!.Being allergic myself it can cause alarming symptoms in certain people!.

Probably both!. All foodstuffs are good for you!. That's why they are foods!. Some are more good for you than you have a reasonable right to expect!.
There seem to be health warnings about everything!. ISTR recall something about bowel cancer and pepper!. However, the lab rats were probably stuffed with the equivalent of a lorry load of the stuff every day!.

Creole Seasoning - sprinkle anywhere
Garam masala - add at end of cooking
Try the different peppers like green peppercorns, white peppercorns, schezwan and pink peppercorns (the last two are different plants from pepper but you can use in the same way as pepper!.
also try making something like zahtar which is sesame seeds, thyme and sumac!. This is a common table condiment in North Africa!.
Oh and dont forget good old mustard!.

I have never heard of any trouble!. Some people might get more acidity in the stomach if they are sensitive to "hot" spicy food - or if they have an ulcer!.
Really hot stuff can make you sweat a bit, but that is no bad thing (except a little antisocial) but is good for getting rid of toxins!.

I've never heard of any, but as with everything no doubt there is!. It will be the next big food scare!! Using herbs and spices including pepper to season food has to be healthier than using salt so if I were you I would carry on doing it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
